When
a Texas cowgirl and an Alberta rancher get together, the
result is a charming blend of two cultures in an old west
setting. That describes well Shaunere and Brian Lane, owners of Brown Creek Ranch. Add four diverse, interesting children and you have the Lane family of Brown Creek Ranch.
From a long-time ranching family in the Claresholm area,
Brian spends his time running the Brown Creek cow/calf operation, which includes a purebred Angus herd. The Lanes were awarded the Alberta Beef Producers Environmental Stewardship Award in 2007... an award that recogzinzes good ranching practices and their impact on the land and community.
Shaunere
hails from San Antonio, Texas and brings to Brown Creek
Ranch Vacations her own western cultural perspective. Involved
in the cattle part of the outfit along with Brian, Shaunere
also enjoys southwestern-style ranch cooking, working in
her yard and spending time with her family.
The Lane's also participate in an annual Bull Sale held in early spring each year.
